This policy covers Story Saver - Status Download (package com.mybelieve.storysaver), an Android app published by an independent developer. It explains exactly what leaves your device and what does not.

1. What stays on your device

The core of the app never transmits your content anywhere. Specifically:

Statuses and photos. Files are read from the folder you grant access to, and copies you save are written to your own device storage. They are never uploaded, and we never see them.
Folder access. Access is granted by you through Android's own folder picker, scoped to the status folder alone, and can be revoked at any time in Android Settings. The app does not request access to your wider storage.
Direct Chat history. Phone numbers you enter to start a chat, and any labels you give them, are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. They are never uploaded, never shared, and are deleted when you clear the list or uninstall the app. The app does not read your contacts.
Settings. Your preferences — theme, view mode, language, auto-save options — are stored locally.

There is no account, no login, and no server operated by us. Uninstalling the app removes this data from your device.

Editing. Cropping, filters, drawing, text, stickers, video trimming and audio extraction are all performed on your device by the app itself. Nothing is uploaded in order to edit it, and every edit is written as a new file, leaving your original untouched.
Private Vault. Media you hide is moved into the app's own private storage on your device, where other apps cannot read it, and is removed if you uninstall the app. Your PIN is stored on the device and is never transmitted.
Sticker packs. Stickers are composed on your device and handed to your messaging app only when you choose to export a pack.
Notifications. The daily reminder and new-status alerts are scheduled locally on your device. There is no push server and no messaging SDK, so no notification content leaves your phone.

2. What is collected, and by whom

The app includes three Google SDKs. Each collects data under its own privacy policy, and each is named here so you can read it:

Service	What it collects	Why
Google AdMob Policy	Advertising ID, device and coarse location signals, ad interaction data. Shared with Google.	To show ads, which is how the app is funded.
Firebase Analytics Policy	App instance ID, screens viewed, and in-app events such as saving or sharing a file, granting folder access, or starting a chat. Event data records that an action happened, never the file, the phone number, or the message.	To understand which parts of the app work and which fail.
Firebase Crashlytics Policy	Crash traces, device model, OS version, and diagnostic state at the time of a crash.	To find and fix crashes.

All of this is transmitted over HTTPS. You can limit ad personalisation at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, including deleting or resetting your advertising ID.

3. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. See our Child Safety Standards.

4. Deleting your data

Data held on your device is removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. For data held by the services above, see Data deletion.

5. Third-party trademarks

Story Saver is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
